The Gift of Gratitude
Feeling stuck or in a rut? Feeling down and out and a little depressed? If so Gratitude can help! Having the Attitude of Gratitude can turn practically any frown upside down. You cannot be in gratitude and be upset at the same time. They are not a vibrational match and cannot both exist at once. Just try it!
Our thoughts are very powerful and we create with our experiences. If you are in a situation that is troubling you, rather than focus on the upset, focus on what you have to be grateful for instead. It will totally shift your reality.
Practicing gratitude for something before it happens is a powerful way to attract what you want. I’ve noticed time and time again that once I stop complaining and being upset about what’s not working and direct my attention to what I want to attract and how grateful I am for already having it, everything changes.
There are several fun ways to use gratitude to lift your mood.
Go thru the alphabet and with each letter choose something you are grateful for. You could have a theme of people, food, animals, flowers or just random things.
For example, I am grateful for Apples, Banana, Carrots, ect. Challenge yourself to go thru the entire alphabet. When you are at Z, notice if you feel better. If not, start back at A and go thru the alphabet again. What you will find is that you have quite a bit to be grateful for, and you will indeed experience a lighter mood.
You can also sit down with a friend, loved one or co-worker and take turns expressing what you are grateful for. It’s a beautiful experience that will provide a lot of insight, joy and guess what else? More gratitude!
