High Protein, Low Fat Caesar Salad Dressing! Christina Martin – Tao to Wellness

September 6, 2016 by Christina Martin

High Protein, Low Fat Caesar Salad Dressing!  Christina Martin – Tao to Wellness

At Tao to Wellness we love protein!  We see the benefit in helping manage and completely eradicate so many illness and ailments. For me personally, I feel like I’m always trying to get enough protein in my day while keeping carbs down… it’s a day to day grind, especially now that I live in New York City or should we say the Carb capital of the country, it’s so easy to grab something while I’m running around the city– albeit scrumptious, it’s carb heavy!

So in an effort to sneak in as much protein as possible, I created this salad dressing the other day.  I wanted something creamy and different than my usual olive oil with salt and pepper.  I wanted something with a little kick to it too, like a caesar without the anchovies or calories!

Behold, my creation!  (It’s ever so slightly on the sour side due to all the Fage, you could cut it a bit with Mayo if you’d like but then you are taking away grams of protein!)

High Protein, Low Fat Caesar Salad dressing

    • In a blender, food processor, Vitamix or even use a hand blender.
    • Combine:
    • 2 clove Garlic
    • 1 tbsp Parsley
    • 1 lemon yields Lemon Juice
    • 1/2 tsp Tarragon, ground
    • .25 tsp Salt
    • 3 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, grated
    • 2 tsp Dijon Mustard (Great Value)
    • 8 oz Fage Total 0% Fat Free Plain Greek Yogurt or you can use 2% or their full fat version
    • 1/3 cup Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
    • Drizzle of olive oil

And that’s it!  I’ve used it on salad, I’ve used spread it on a sandwich, I chopped up some kale the other day and added farro and it’s delish!

In health always and forever,
